The software company, which will come under increasing pressure now that Microsoft has entered the market, says the product will enable users to make faster and more effective decisions.

One exhibitor at the show questioned whether Pegasus could survive in the face of competition from Microsoft.

The software is offered as an extra to the Opera II modular accounting and payroll system and uses Microsoft Excel as a front-end.

Andy West, COO at Pegasus said that the software allows businesses to make ‘timely decisions that can have a direct influence on profitability.’
