The practice, with offices in Rochdale and Bacup, was previously affiliated to Tenon since December 2002 and was previously a BDO Stoy Hayward office, however the move will now see all eight partners and the 50 staff move over to the Tenon brand full-time.
The offices cover business services and will continue to operate from the their local bases. They will be run in conjunction with Tenon’s existing Chorley and Manchester offices to form a northwest region that, according to the firm, gives ‘significant presence in the local market’.
Jane Partington, managing director for the northwest said: ‘We are delighted that our clients in Rochdale and Bacup will now be able to benefit from Tenon’s wider range of service lines including corporate finance, financial services, specialised tax planning and outsourcing.
‘Our new combined offices are now the largest accounting practice based outside Manchester in the northwest.’
Tenon’s staff in the northwest is now 233, with 26 directors. The acquisition is expected to be completed on 30th July.
