Jeff Hewitt, the group FD and deputy chairman of support services company Electrocomponents, is to retire after nine years of service.

Hewitt will stay on in his current position until a replacement is found. He will then seek to increase the number of his non-executive directorships.
‘Jeff has played a major role in the development of Electrocomponents, said Bob Lawson, the group’s chairman. ‘I am delighted that he has agreed to stay with the company until his successor has joined the group.’
