The insolvency monitoring unit for the English ICA and the Insolvency Practitioners Association have appointed lawyer Anthony Holland as its new chairman and banker Ivona Poyntz as chief executive.
Holland has the task of raising the public profile of the Joint Insolvency Monitoring Unit with a shake-up of its marketing strategy. A chairman of the Securities and Futures Authority, Holland is also the principal ombudsman to the Personal Investment Authority Ombudsman Bureau, a former president of the Law Society and member of the International Bar Association.
A senior strategy and market planning manager at Barclays Bank, who was seconded to the Bank of England, Poyntz will take responsibility for the strategic focus of the monitoring unit, including finding new premises and staff recruitment.
JIMU director Ken Ross said: ‘In Tony Holland and Ivona Poyntz JIMU has appointed two dynamic individuals capable of moving an already well established organisation to an even higher level amongst it peers’.
