Mouchel, the engineering, management and environmental consultancy, which celebrated its centenary in 1997, has reported an upturn in pretax profits and attributes this to increasing Private Finance Initiative work.
The consultancy’s end of year pre-tax profits rose to #1.85m, up 19.5 per cent on 1996. Turnover fell marginally from #47.17m in 1996 to #45.58m in 1997.
