EADS FD questioned in French insider trading probe
The probe has so far focused on more than a dozen former and current executives of the European Aeornautic Defence Space Company
EADS financial director Peter Ring has been questioned in connection with a
French investigation into allegations of insider trading of the group’s shares.
Ring told the Financial Times he is not a suspect in the affair of
alleged insider trading at the aerospace group by French stock market watchdog,
the Autorite des Marches Financiers.
The probe has so far focused on more than a dozen former and current
executives of the European Aeornautic Defence Space Company, suspected of
selling EADS stock before problems emerged with its Airbus A380 in June 2006.
As reports spread of delays in delivery of the airbus, shares in EADS
plunged.
According to the FT, Ring was questioned about two weeks ago.
