Davies to join Morgan Stanley board
Sir Howard Davies, former chairman of the Financial Services Authority, has been nominated for election to the board at Morgan Stanley.

Currently the director of the London School of Economics and Political Science, Sir Howard appears to have been nominated on the strength of his work at the City watchdog.
In a statement from its New York headquarters, Morgan Stanley chairman Philip Purcell said: ‘During Sir Howard’s tenure at the FSA, the regulator came to define global best practices in financial services oversight.
‘His “public policy DNA” will add an important new dimension to Morgan Stanley governance.’
The final decision will be taken at the annual stockholders meeting in April.
