A former ACCA accountant who was
jailed in 2001 for providing incorrect information to the
Irish Revenue Commissioners managed to sign
off a 2003 company audit report, despite no longer being a registered auditor,
an investigation has revealed.
An investigation by The Sunday
Business Post found that Carlow accountant Ignatius Forde,
signed an audit report for J Murphy Plant Contractors even though he is not a
registered auditor and is no longer a member of the ACCA.
