Shapland takes role at Ladbrokes

Sainsbury CFO becomes NED at bookies

Sainsbury CFO Darren Shapland has been made a non executive director at
Ladbrokes the bookies.

Chief executive Christopher Been said: “The extensive knowledge of retail and
media that Darren Shapland and Bailey bring to the Ladbrokes board will of
significant benefit as we take the business forward.”

Shapland joined Sainsbury in August 2005 and was FD at Carpetright and
Superdrug prior to that.
