Consumer goods producer looks at moving its tax base out of the UK

Bart Becht, Reckitt chief executive

Reckitt Benckiser, the Strepsils to Harpic consumer goods producer, could
shift its base out of the UK due to high corporate and income taxes.

Chief executive Bart Becht said it was holding ongoing discussions about a
possible shift, with Switzerland Ireland or the US flagged up as potential
destinations, reported the
FT.

A move would follow other big companies’ tax base out of the UK, including ad
agency WPP and publisher Informa.
