Battle is on for Personality of the Year Award
ICAEW chief Eric Anstee and Standard Life’s group FD Alison Reed are among the contenders for this year’s Accountancy Age Personality of the Year Award
The award is one of three open to our readers. The other two are Recruitment
Consultancy of the Year and Employer of the Year.
Eric Anstee has won his nomination after leading the ICAEW in the face of
massive opposition to his merger and development plans. Alison Reed guided
Standard Life through its flotation, a major come-back following her departure
from Marks & Spencer.
Other contenders include Rona Fairhead, who has been promoted to CEO of the
Financial Times Group, and Jeremy Newman, who has been nominated for the second
time after maintaining pressure in the debate over competition for audits and
the Big Four.
Lastly Dave Hartnett, one of the most talked about people in accountancy, has
been nominated for leading the government’s anti-tax avoidance campaign.
