Complaints against Customs fell 31%; Tax Faculty responds on draft
Inland Revenue[QQ] The Revenue has welcomed the Adjudicator’s annual report. The percentage of complaints upheld fell to an all-time low of 32%. An amendment is to be made to the Finance Bill extending the final date for tax-relieved awards under an approved profit sharing scheme from 5 April 2002 to 31 December 2002. Government has announced the rules for all employee share ownership plan will be extended to redeemable shares issued by co-operatives. The Revenue announced papers concerning the impersonation of Lord Levy will be passed to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
