EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW - Football Association Finance Director talks to Accountancy Age

In an interview published just 48 hours before England meets Scotland in the crucial European Championship qualifier, Football Association finance director Michael Cunnah tells Accountancy Age about life at one of the highest profile bodies in the country.

A veteran of the consumer drinks industry, Cunnah explains how governance in football has improved despite the financial scandals that have dogged the FA – the game’s regulator – and the sport in recent years. With no permanent chief executive in post until January, Cunnah tells how he has been running the organisation as one of a gang of three directors this year. And, with a new business-like structure ready to be implemented, Cunnah sets out how he is also helping the FA to shake its image as a staid, backward-looking organisation stuffed with old men in blazers. To read the interview click here
