Weir names E&Y's Stanton as group FD
Jon Stanton has moved from practice to head up the finance function at Weir
Ernst &
Young’s Jon Stanton is the new group finance director at mining and
industrial business
Weir
Group.
Stanton has worked at E&Y since 1988, and has been a partner in its
London office since 2001. He has worked on a number of FTSE 100 audits,
including Invensys, Hanson and InterContinental Hotels Group.
Corporate finance and business process improvement are also areas of
experience for Stanton.
Weir Group is audited by E&Y, however, a spokeswoman said that Stanton
has had “no involvement with the Weir account” during his time at the firm.
