The government is to increase expenditure on crime prevention by over £100m, the chancellor has today announced.
The government is to increase expenditure on crime prevention by over £100m, the chancellor has today announced.
Gordon Brown announced in his Budget report that the government is spending £100m more to fight street crime and plans to increase expenditure by £180m in 2002.
He said the additional spend was to reinforce the idea that ‘no kind of crime is acceptable’.
