Chairman of the Aziz Corporation consultancy, Khalid Aziz has received the appointment of Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO). The appointment is considered to be a personal gift of the Sovereign and was made in recognition of Khalid’s voluntary work with the Prince’s Trust over the last 20 years. He recently retired as chairman of the Wessex Children’s Hospice, which raised #5m to build a hospice for sick and dying children in the south of England. The Bobby Appeal of which he was also chairman raised #10m to help elderly victims of crime.

He was also chairman of the Southern Counties Board of the Prince’s Youth Business Trust, and chairman of the Hampshire Comittee of the Prince’s Trust.
