Former Deloitte man joins rival

Big Four firm, Ernst & Young, has appointed Chris Sanger as its head of policy development, a new capability created in its tax practice.

Top tax commentator leaves E&Y

Sanger, who previously led a similar division at fierce rival Deloitte, has huge amounts of experience working with a variety of governments. He was seconded to the Treasury from 1998 to 2001 where he advised the Chancellor and his advisers.

He is a member of the Tax Policy Committee of the Chartered Institute of Tax, the Large Business Tax Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Tax Law Review Committee of the Institute of Fiscal Studies.
