UK leisure group Macdonald Hotels has appointed Scott Christie as its new finance director, replacing Jim Busby who becomes new corporate development director. The appointments will take effect from 4 January 2000. Christie held a number of senior roles at United Distillers which he joined in 1991. For the past two years his main responsibility had been the integration of the merged UK businesses of United Distillers and International Distillers and Vintners following the formation of Diageo.
