Former Selfridges FD and CFO Peter Williams is has been tipped
as a potential new finance director at Boots.
Williams is joined by Boots’ acting CFO Jim Smart as
favourites for the role at the struggling chemist chain.
City analysts have suggested to The Sunday Times
that Smart is the favourite for the job. ‘He has made a good impression so far,’
said one analyst.
The search for a replacement to former CFO Howard Dodd, who
stepped down in May, is being led by recruiters Spencer Stuart.
