Andersen Consulting is set to create a reported 400 new partners next year as a result of the restructuring of the firm following its divorce from Arthur Andersen and Andersen Worldwide. The move follows the recent announcement the firm will change its name to Accenture from 1 January next year. The firm said many of the promotions will be from senior managers who were close to gaining the status last year, when 1,300 senior managers were promoted – a move which doubled the size of its partnership.
