Leading software giant Sage has acquired Bristol-based final accounts production software manufacturer Hartley International in a £2.55m deal.
Sage is aiming to strengthen its range of products and services currently on offer to accountants through its Professional Accountants Division.
Hartley International Ltd employs 25 people and is one of the UK’s major suppliers of final accounts production software to the accountancy profession with a user base of over 800 accountants. The acquisition means that Sage will now have an advanced 32 bit accounts production product to complement its existing final accounts production software.
Commenting on the announcement, Graham Wylie, managing director of Sage Software said, ‘We chose Hartley International as it offers a top of the range product with a strong user base, significantly increasing the number of accountants using Sage software. The addition of their management team and staff to our Professional Accountants Division will help us to continue the momentum we have generated and provide a more value added service to accountants.’
