Morgan Stanley appoints Ruth Porat as CFO
Management reshuffle at Morgan Stanley sees Porat take on the CFO role
Ruth Porat has been promoted to chief financial officer of
Porat, who served as its global head of financial institutions, is just part
of a major reshuffle of the investment bank’s management team. James Gorman had
already been lined up as its new CEO from the end of the year in place of John
English-born Porat gained a degree from the
of Economics, and has headed the team that advised the US Treasury
on the nationalisation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
She began her career at the firm in 1987 within the M&A department.
