Flint and Wyman recognised in honours list

Hounours go to Douglas Flint and Peter Wyman
Douglas Flint and Peter Wyman were among the members of the accounting
profession to pick up awards from the Queen’s birthday honours lists.
Flint, group FD of HSBC was awarded a CBE for services to the finance
industry, while Wyman, former ICAEW president and head of professional affairs
at PwC, was awarded a CBE for services to the accounting profession.
Evelyn Lang was awarded an MBE for services to the Lanarkshire community as
FD of Motherwell Citizens Advice Bureau, and Shirley Jackson also won an MBE for
services to the insolvency profession.
HM Revenue & Customs large business service director David Garlick,
interviewed last week in Accountancy Age, was awarded a CBE alongside
HMRC director Arthur Durrant.
Other HMRC staff honoured by the Queen included Anthony Hammersley, Simon
Horsburgh and Elizabeth Underhill.
