Ron Henderson is to retire from his role as FD of maintenance giant Network
Rail.
Henderson has been with the company since October 2002 and played a pivotal
role in taking Railtrack out of administration.
Henderson is set to stay with the company for the next few months to ensure a
smooth hand-over to his replacement, who will be announced shortly, Network Rail
said.
The retiring FD has also held FD roles at cable and construction group
formerly group BICC and Balfour Beatty. Prior to this he was with Halliburton,
Brown and Root and earlier with Arthur Andersen.
Network Rail chairman Sir Ian McAllister is also set to leave the company.
Network Rail’s chief executive Iain Coucher, said: ‘Ian and Ron have been
outstanding members of the leadership team. ‘The board of Network Rail and I
extend our sincere gratitude to both Ian and Ron for their outstanding
contributions.’
