New FD takes charge at re-emerged NTL
NTL, the cable television company which emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in January this year, has appointed a new finance director.
The company has chosen Scott Schubert to keep reigns on the finances, and he marks the first senior appointment at the company since its restructuring.
Before joining NTL, Schubert was finance director at Williams Communications, an Oklahoma-based telecom, which too went bankrupt in April 2002. Schubert worked at Williams when it collapsed and helped the company through a debt-for-equity swap, similar to the deal which saved NTL.
