    KPMG consulting acquires 23 Andersen offices

    KPMG consulting acquires 23 Andersen offices

    KPMG Consulting has acquired 23 of Andersen Worldwide's business consulting offices in a deal worth about $284m.

    The Nasdaq-listed consultancy acquired Andersen businesses in Europe, the United States, Asia Pacific and Latin America. Ten of the 23 deals have already been signed.

    Once the £185m transaction is completed, KPMG Consulting will have more than 700 of the Global 2000 companies as part of its client-base and its combined work force will total more than 16,000 employees.

    Law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised the consulting company in matters of corporate finance, corporate recovery and tax.
