Manchester-based accountant Janet Orr has been appointed a partner at KPMG’s Hong Kong office. Orr, 36, will join the firm’s financial sector practice, specialising in banking and fund management. She has a double reason to toast the new year as she married earlier this month. Orr joined KPMG in 1985 and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1998, and is senior manager in the financial sector audit department. She has worked at the firm’s Manchester office since qualifying, apart from a three-year spell at the Dubai office from 1993-96.
