Foundation launches new billing system for firms.
Software producer Foundation Systems has launched a web-based Professional Services Automation (PSA) package aimed at consultancy and services-based organisations.
The package, SharpOWL, will provide modular programmes that include relationship management, time and expense management, programme management, project repository, client billing and re-charging, management reporting and business intelligence.
Len Palmer, managing director of Foundation Systems, claimed: ‘SharpOWL offers services-based organisations a positive return on investment. Implementation will pay for itself within one year.’
Foundation even claimed that the package will boost staff retention, the theory being that consultants will spend less time dealing with paperwork and more time working on clients.
Foundation said all modules will be available in the last quarter of 2000, and that a typical implementation for a medium to large enterprise will set you back between #250,000 and #500,000.
