Taking Stock - 'Oh go on then, just ignore me ... please'.
Last week’s press on the Legacy bid for the Dome concentrated on allegations that the government had ignored its advisers on the viability of the proposal. In among the advisers Lazards, Berwin Leighton and Jones Lang LaSalle, was one Deloitte & Touche. This was the same firm that advised the Millennium Commission the target of 12 million visitors to the Greenwich tent was ‘achievable’.
Shame that bit of advice wasn’t ignored as well. Incidentally, Deloittes is also the Commission’s auditor. We look forward to its next report and wonder how many will ignore it.
