Nokia appoint new finance chief
Nokia, the world's largest maker of mobile phones, has appointed Rick Simonson as chief financial officer as part of a reorganisation aimed at maintaining its top dog status.

Simonson, who has also been appointed senior vice president, will take responsibility for finance and control, treasury, investor relations, customer finance and risk management.
He will report to Jorma Ollila, chairman and CEO of NOkia.
His appointment came alongside a raft of other executive placements includingthe appointment of Pekka Ala-Pietila, as head of sales and marketing, as well as continuing in his role as president of Nokia.
The changes become effective on the 1 January.
Ollila said: ‘The industry and corporate structures that were established a decade ago at the dawn of mobile communications were very different from what is needed going ahead.
‘With our flexibility and the new structure we are truly in the best position to bring the benefits of mobility to everyone and to take the opportunity of the next growth wave in this industry.’
