PBR 06: Growth to continue

Chanceller bouyant on economic growth in pre-Budget speech

Gordon Brown said that the UK has seen the longest period of economic growth
among all the major economies since the war.

He said growth in 2006 had exceeded expectations to reach 2.75%. In 2007 he
expects growth to reach between 2.75% and 3.25%.
