Mitchells & Butlers non-exec role looms for Tamar FD
Ron Robson lined up by Joe Lewis as a new board member at pubs group
Mitchells &
Butlers’ biggest shareholder has moved to appoint a finance
professional onto the board as a non-executive.
Joe Lewis’ investment vehicle, Piedmont, has put forward Ron Robson as a
non-exec.
Robson, currently CFO of Tamar Capital Partners, will join the board on 22
January then stand for reappointment on 28 January at its AGM.
He trained as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen, holding a number
of senior financial roles including group FD of Belhaven Group, and Kenmore.
A
long-running boardroom battle at M&B recently saw two Piedmont
representatives removed from the board.
