Lord Sharman, the former KPMG International chairman, has been appointed
chairman at Aviva, the life assurer.
The move had been widely trailed, and the confirmation came today in a stock
Lord Sharman was chairman of KPMG International before he retired in 1999.
He said: ‘[Aviva is] a company with drive, ambition and the highest standards
of professionalism. I am looking forward with much enthusiasm to contributing to
Aviva’s continued growth.’
