Roger Marsh, Steve Ellis and Toby Underwood were appointed joint administrators to the business, a subsidary of Atchison Castings UK, which is also in administration.

In a statement, the administrators said they would be ‘quickly reviewing operations at both Crewe and Coatbridge’ which employ 312 people to assess their ‘ongoing viability’.

They are looking to sell the business as a going concern and are in discussions with a number of interested parties.
