The firm will now offer venture capitalists a fund raising service.

A team of placement agents, led by Chris Ward, head of corporate finance advisory at the firm, will seek out potential investors on behalf of venture capital groups looking to raise funds.

Deloitte said it was convinced that demand for investing in private equity would recover sharply as the economy picked up and the initial public offering market ‘stirred into life’.
