Express has named Jeremy Maiden as its new finance director-in-waiting.
CIMA-qualified Maiden started his business career as a graduate recruit at
Unilever before joining Price Waterhouse as a management consultant. He left
Price Waterhouse to become divisional finance director and then group finance
director of Hickson International.
He will leave Northern Foods to take up his new position at the public
Richard Bowker, National Express’ chief executive, said: ‘I am delighted that
we have been able to recruit Jez to the post of group finance director.
‘I believe his diverse background, and his recent experience at Northern
Foods where he has contributed to a significant process of change and underlying
profitability improvement, will make him a valuable member of the team
responsible for taking the group forward to the next stage of its growth. I very
much look forward to welcoming him to National Express.’
Maiden will join the group’s board later in 2008, National Express added.
