Gilson trained with KPMG in London and Hong Kong, but has live on the Isle of Man since 1995, when he became a principal consultant for a specialist tax planning and financial management consultancy.
Gilson went on to join one of the largest corporate service providers on the Isle of Man, where he rose to be head of finance. More recently he has undertaken contract assignments for Anglo Irish Trust Company, Abacus Trust Company and Deloitte.
