Frustration at having to deal with council officers during lunch hours will soon be at an end for residents of trendy North London neighbourhood, as paying council tax is enters a new realm in forward-thinking Islington.
Following the successful installation of 24-hour kiosks allowing residents to pay their TV licences, the council is set to provide a service enabling locals to pay their council tax and parking tickets at any time. TS was concerned about the outcome for locals who may think it a splendid idea to pay their taxes after a stint down the pub. Three sheets to the wind and trying to work the touch-screen kiosks could prove interesting. Watch this space for a case study!!!
