Thorntons sweet on new FD
Chocolatiers Thorntons has appointed interim finance director John Wall to the role on a full-time basis.
Prior to joining the company in October, Wall served in a number of interim FD positions. Between 1992 and 2000 Wall was group FD of jeans manufacturer Lee Cooper.
Christopher Burnett, executive chairman of Thorntons, said: ‘The Board is delighted to welcome John Wall to the business. He has already begun to make a valuable contribution as a member of the executive team, to which he brings a wealth of experience.’
Wall qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 1977.
