Laurence Milton has been appointed managing director of Solution 6, the accountancy and legal software and services company. The move, promoting Milton from the role of general manager, sees current MD Hugh Beggs appointed chairman of the company. Beggs has been in the UK since last year when Solution 6 acquired MICL – owners of Viztopia software, then headed by Milton. Beggs will continue to work with Milton and his management team and will be focusing on business planning and strategy. With a strong background in the accounting profession, Milton has spent 17 years as MD of MICL, the company he established in 1983 and which was subsequently acquired by Solution 6 in September last year.
