United Utilities CFO quits
Water company on the lookout for a successor to CFO Tim Weller
United Utilities is to lose its CFO to Cable&Wireless Worldwide.
Current chief financial officer, Tim Weller, who has been in the role for
almost four years will leave the water company in May 2010.
He was previously finance director at RWE Thames Water prior to that he was
group finance director at power company Innogy Holdings.
He started his career at KPMG most recently as a partner in the
infrastructure audit and accounting group before joining Granada as director of
financial control.
Philip Green, chief executive, said: “Tim has been an integral part of all
the work we have done in recent years to reshape the United Utilities Group and
to improve our operational performance; he also played a key role in relation to
the recent water price review.”
“Tim will remain with United Utilities until May of next year to ensure an
orderly succession,” he added.
The company is currently searching for a successor
