Arcadia denies FD will be dismissed
Retail group Arcadia - the owner of Top Shop and Burtons - has denied as 'speculation and rumour' reports that finance director Nigel Hall is set to leave the company.
A report in the Sunday Business newspaper suggested Hall would be the first casualty from the struggling retailer early this week, following the appointment of Stuart Rose as chief executive last week.
It is widely expected that Rose, who arrived from supermarket group Iceland, will carry out a sweeping managerial sweep and sell off the group’s least successful subsidiaries.
A company spokesperson said they had no idea where the reports had come from.
