UK 200 Group bids to help nation's growing businesses
Owners of small and medium-sized businesses are to be offered a unique programme of training designed to boost their understanding of corporate life.
The UK 200 Group, a representative body for 180 regional accountancy practices, last week launched a range of 19 courses covering areas such as budgeting, planning, stock control, raising finance and dealing with banks. The courses, which will each last about two hours, will be marketed through banks and member firms.
Richard Robinson, the UK 200 Group’s president, said the initiative would help thousands of growing companies currently struggling with various aspects of running a business.
‘Many of our clients have expressed interest in financial management training which is practical and down-to-earth, understands the problems facing growing businesses, doesn’t take too much time away from the business and is affordable.’
The group’s move follows publication of two handbooks designed to give growing businesses better financial skills.
