North American investment boosts capital city
North American investment boosts capital city
Figures compiled by the Ernst & Young European Investment Monitor
revealed that London currently attracts over 5.7% of all foreign direct
investment (FDI) into Europe, making it the most attractive European city for
investors.
According to E&Y, the number of investments increasing by over 15% to 177
in 2005, up from 153 in 2004.
The USA now accounts for the largest source of FDI into London, with Canada
and France overtaking India to become the second biggest investors into London.
Growth in investment from Brazil, Russia, India and China was also a
contributing factor to London’s success
