Furniture retailer enters administration
Deloitte partners have been appointed as administrators of Land of Leather.
The furniture store retailer, which operates from 109 stores across the UK
and Ireland, had been seeking to raise capital or sell the business after
‘challenging trading conditions’.
Joint administrator Lee Manning said stores would continue to trade as normal
while interested parties were spoken to regarding the sale of the business.
Customers who have paid either a deposit by credit card, Visa debit card or
other means since 26 December are fully protected.
‘We have written to all customers who have paid a deposit to explain how they
are affected. In addition, a dedicated hotline 0800 496 0868 and email enquiry
address [email protected] have been set up for concerned customers,’ added
Manning.
