Xelus/BA Service supply chain provider Xelus is to supply its XelusPlan inventory planning solution to British Airways. It will be used by 120 planners in BA Engineering, which is responsible for servicing, maintaining and overhauling its aircraft.

Retailer John Lewis has taken an equity stake in UK-based Internet grocer, LMS, a customer of logistics solutions provider Descartes. Descartes DeliveryNet solution will connect LMS and John Lewis subsidiary Waitrose to a single scalable home delivery network, enabling the two companies to offer a new Internet grocery service to customers throughout the UK.

E-CRM solutions provider Remedy has allied itself with desktop and network management solutions provider Netman. The partnership should offer a complete solution to mid-size organisations.
The Royal Navy has agreed an £85,000 contract with solutions provider Logsys for a replacement of its paper-based Officer Appraisal System. The new system should also provide easy storage and manipulation of this information, reducing the burden of administration.
Outsourcing specialist Digica has won a contract worth £150,000 to house global logistics company ISC’s AS/400. Throughout the three-year contract Digica will house and run the AS/400 from its purpose built data centre in Nottingham.
i2 Technologies has been working in strategic partnership with IBM and Ariba since April on a global digital marketplace for Volkswagen. It has also signed contracts with DaimlerChrysler and Toyota to power private online marketplaces for collaboration internally and with their trading partners.

E-solutions provider Pathlore has been selected by Lockheed Martin Federal Systems to help deploy its US Navy Learning Network program, the US military’s largest ever online training and education initiative. Under the deal, Pathlore’s Learning Management System will become the cornerstone of the US Navy’s distributed learning operational capability. The NLN program provides access and management of online training courses for 1.2 million Department of Navy personnel.
