Lured away from the legal world, Christopher Honeyman Brown rejoins his profession as a new partner with chartered accountants Horwath Clark Whitehill.

Honeyman Brown, widely regarded as a ‘big hitter’ in the field of practice management, joins the professional practices group.

Trained by Whitehill Marsh Jackson (which merged to become Horwath Clark Whitehill) in the 1960s, Honeyman Brown explains his homecoming: ‘I have respected Horwath Clark Whitehill’s professional practices group for several years and they are offering me a superb platform and the opportunity to develop the practice and make it the market leader.’

His experience lies in M&As, banking investigations and management support to professional firms. Having spent the last two years in senior management with law firm Dibb Lupton Alsop, the former director of operations is excited to be involved in accountancy again. ‘I’m looking forward to having the chance to advise a number of firms,’ he says.

The professional practices group is already one of the leading teams advising professional partnerships on matters of finance and management.

Honeyman Brown hopes to broaden and strengthen the group’s core team.

‘Many firms are tackling the challenges of people, technology, multi-disciplinary practices and client demands – and I believe their efforts can be supported by someone who has experienced the issues first hand,’ he said.
