European reporting group to evaluate IAS39
The European Commission's carved up proposal for IAS 39 is to evaluated by the members of the influential European Financial Reporting Advisory Group.

EFRAG has called an open meeting of its Technical Experts Group on 22 September in Brussels, with the objective of technically evaluating the Commission’s carve-out proposal for the contentious standard.
Members will evaluate whether certain provisions related to hedge accounting would lead to a technically robust, sound and consistent solution.
‘The aim is not to evaluate whether the carve-out solution in principle is the preferred option,’ EFRAG said.
Comments must be sent to the EFRAG secretariat by the 21 September.
