The national procurement body for England’s fire and rescue service has
revamped its board, appointing ICAEW member Chris Hetherington.
An institute fellow, Hetherington is currently an executive director of Cable
& Wireless International, and chief of its Americas and Caaribbean
businesses. His appointment is for three years.

Each board member will be paid £450 a day and expected to spend two days a
month in their role.
