Accountancy firm KPMG ranked as top employer.

Big Four firm KPMG has staked its claim as the third-best big company to work for in the UK, with a strong showing in The Sunday Times’ best companies to work for survey.

Competing in a 5,000-strong field, KPMG secured its place in the top three because of its good holiday package, provision of gym facilities and charity involvement.

The firm provides in excess of 25 days leave a year, subsidises or provides gym and nursery facilities, and allows all of its staff to work for charity for up to three and a half hours of company time a month.

KPMG edged out other major companies such as Mothercare, Pfizer and Cadbury Schweppes in the rankings.
